I made a trip to Washington D.C a long time ago and I am just now finally getting around with it. While in D.C I made a mini trip to Sephora because I forgot somethings...which in this case was foundation. But not only did I leave with foundation but I also left with sophisticated perfume. Let me introduce you all to Atelier Cologne.

Imagine being whisked onto a mysterious, seductive, and thrilling adventure, and no I am not talking about a mystery novel, I'm talking about the capturing stories that are created with Atelier Cologne fragrances.

To start I knew nothing about this brand, and it took a bit for me to even change my mind about them. It took 15 minutes of walking around a two-story Sephora, and some finessing from a dapper salesman to get me to purchase one.

I will tell you these are a pretty penny for their size.

A 30ml fragrance ranges from about $80-85. So it is a bit costly, but the scents are so unique and worth it.

With some finessing from the salesman about the pricing, and some with some inner monologue I convinced myself to go through with it. I managed to purchase one of the fragrances ( I got the second one for free!) and foundation (maybe some other random things) without breaking my bank. (around $50)

On with the two fragrances I purchased.

-- Vetiver Fatal --

«He was alerted immediately and called on the case, another diamond stolen mysteriously. The moment he opened the dossier, a smile sparked in his deep eyes as he recognized her signature mark. He took one of his passports, burned the file and began the pursuit. This time she wouldn’t get away…»

Vétiver Fatal, a secret agent captures a dangerous encounter between bright and mysterious, as Heart of Hatian Vetiver and Tunisian Orange Flower Absolute surrenders to seductive Violet Leaves, smoky Texas Cedarwood and dark Oud.

How can this not sound sexy? Out of the two fragrances I purchased, this one is my most favorite. The initial spray is strong, the vetiver, cedarwood and the dark oud hits your nose first followed by the violet and the orange sweetens the scent but leave hits of the dark oud and a mysterious scent.

-- Vanille Insensee --

"He wove through the crowd when suddenly his heart quickened. That scent. It was hers. He had worn it first until she stole it for herself. Now, there she was before him and the magic of years past came flooding back in a moment."

Vanille Insensée, an electrical current runs through the subtle sweetness of vanilla, jasmine and fresh lime to bond with rich oak moss, woods and spicy coriander.

The fragrance that tells a story about two people, an agent after a clever jewel thief and a climatic capture of the jewel thief? Maybe? They left it at a cliffhanger. Either way, this scent is strictly vanilla ( that's all that I can smell...)

Needless to say, all of Atelier Cologne's fragrances are one of a kind and I can say that they are not mass fragrances i.e. D&G Light Blue or Calvin Klein's Euphoria. Because there are highly concentrated oils within all of their fragrances the scent is long lasting and, of course personal.

Although this is not a review, I would definitely recommend looking at their line of fragrances to find one that best fits your taste. I can assure that all of their scents will leave people guessing what perfume or cologne you're wearing and for something that is strictly yours.
